Giving Back
We thought that as we start our lives together, we should work to improve the lives of others as well. Therefore, we decided to give to a number of charities in honor of our guests.
Our first donation will be to the American Cancer Society,
in memory of my grandma Rita and my grandpa Card and Devin's dad Bill. Cancer has hit our family hard on both sides
and it is something we actively try to raise money for, especially every
November (Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month) and October (Breast Cancer
Awareness Month). But this way, our
donation goes to all research that will hopefully not be needed by the time our
kids are getting married! But through this
donation, we are keeping the memories of our parents and grandparents alive in
our hearts and are with us in spirit on our big day.
If you would like to know more about the American Cancer
Society, please go here. You can also
like them on Facebook!
Our second donation will be to Mary Cariola Children's
Center. It happens to be where I work
and also where Devin's youngest brother lives.
But it also would have been the agency to serve my brother, Justin, if
we had grown up in Rochester. The Agency
does many wonderful and amazing things for kids and thinking of them seems like
the very least we could do.
For more information on the Mary Cariola Children's Center,
please visit marycariola.org. You can
also find Mary Cariola on Facebook and stay up to date with our only annual
fundraiser and see a ton of cute kids hard at work!

Mr. Sullivan, the day we brought him home. He is such a lover, you would never believe he was a stray for so long!

Finally, the location for our ceremony and reception will be
our biggest donation. I had known about
the EquiCenter for a few years, and I even remember calling my mom one day
after volunteering there with Lyndsey saying, "I found the place where I
am going to get married." Oddly
enough, it came true!
The EquiCenter is a therapeutic riding facility for
individuals with special needs and works a lot with Veterans as well. The horses are all amazing and the staff are
wonderful. We feel so lucky to have our
wedding here, because every cent of our donation goes right to an amazing
cause!

We are so thankful that we are able to give back to all
these AMAZING causes as we start our new life together. We hope that you agree that these are some
very worthy causes! We know our
donations will be put to good use and have an impact on families, kids with
special needs, veterans, and all our four legged friends! What more could we ask for?!
